Alex is a DPhil student in Cancer Science, fully funded by Cancer Research UK. Alex's research focuses on the intersection of computational genomics, epigenetics, and immunology, with a primary focus on predictive modelling in cancer immunotherapy. Supervised by Dr Ben Schuster-Boeckler and Dr Ben Fairfax.
Alex is interested in understanding the factors that influence treatment outcomes and immune-related adverse events in cancer patients receiving immunotherapy.
Before joining Oxford, Alex studied medicine and worked as a clinical geneticist at Charité University in Berlin and completed my MD thesis at Yale University, where they focused on computational approaches to predict tumour aggressiveness and clinical outcomes.
Alex is also a peer supporter at Reuben College.
